Private label in the U.S. can be frustrating to those familiar with the high penetration and market share in Europe. Understanding the opportunities and pitfalls in America requires knowledge and PLMA offers the insight and information needed to be successful: PLMA’s Executive Education developed in conjunction with the Food Marketing Center at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, a leader in business education.
The curriculum includes both basic and advanced classes, including private label strategy, manufacturer-retailer relations, category management, new product development, packaging management and buyer-seller collaboration.
The curriculum is designed for both manufacturers and retailers. Classes combine interactive teaching techniques with traditional lectures and case studies. The faculty is drawn from both the university and industry.
First organised in 2001, PLMA’s U.S. Executive Education Programme is offered in June at St. Joseph’s campus and during the Private Label Trade Show in Chicago in November.
